So world, today I am still living in the house by the water. Tomorrow, I will be living in an apartment in the heart of the village. It is kind of crazy how one day, you are somewhere and the next day you are somewhere else. I made sure to take mental images of what my room looks like before I totally dismantle it this afternoon. It's going to look very odd. Thursday morning...I will wake up in my new house...and I am sure that will also feel odd...but great!
Yesterday I had a locksmith come the new house to change the locks. It was a relatively unpleasant experience because they made me wait 1 hour and 15 minutes. Not to mention the dude whom I booked the appointment with totally misinformed me and from one quote to the next was a $100 variance. Are they insane? I ended up paying them less than what they wanted...but not by much. Then I had to head to the city to visit with my dad and pick up a collection of kitchen ware. ROCK ON DAD!!! THANK YOU! Saved me a ton of money with all the stuff he gave me. YAY!!!
I am taking the afternoon off work...need to hustle in the packing department. Will for sure finish my room, kitchen and bathroom stuff today. Want everything packed so that tomorrow runs smoothly and efficiently. Hopefully...my landlord follows through with his word; the house will be painted and cleaned upon my arrival. Seeing as he said he is only starting the painting at 6pm tonight...and I am moving in at 4pm tomorrow...that is a small window to complete everything. I can only hope that he makes this happen. Otherwise...my blog on Thursday morning...may have a negative tone to it. Let's stay positive, shall we? LOL
Unrelated topic; I get to see Mr. Fabulous tonight. I am taking him to a birthday party dinner except we'll be arriving after the dinner...only joining the team for drinks. He'll get to meet my gf (the maid of honor) and her husband. Not sure who else will be there. None-the-less....good times!!!
