Why do I continue to be surprised? Why? Just when I thought I have been through it all...and have taken the proper measures to minimize the harsh outcomes...another occasion comes around and totally messes me up. I, once again, have no one to blame but myself. How many times do I have to go through this....FACK!!!!
Everything was going great last night at the bar. More or less! Let's just say no one was in the midst of screwing me over...just yet. A young Latino man comes into the bar and right off the bat...we hit it off. We were speaking in Spanish and chatting about wine and Argentina. He is a cultured kid who is working on his masters in Hospitality and happens to be a waiter at my new favorite restaurant...the one I mentioned of a couple weeks ago. Go figure! In my mind, I guessed that this kid is educated, classy, makes great money..etc. I never for one second thought he would be the kind of guy to screw me by not paying his bill. Well...I guessed wrong. When it came to the end of the night and time to collect on the tab...he had no money. WTF!!! Who does this? Who goes out drinking...with NO FRIGGIN MONEY?? Really!
Well, I ripped the guy a new asshole...to say the least. We spoke earlier in the night about him being my waiter at my birthday dinner that I wanted to have at his restaurant. While giving him shit, I might have told him I am going to bring my crew of 8 people...rack up a decent bill and then book it. Leave him high and dry. Of course I don't have it in me to do that...not even remotely. Just saying it made me feel better though. Of course if I ran up a bill at his restaurant it would come close to $500 whereas his tab was $35.00. Ha!!! That's Karma man! LOL
So this guy promised me he would come in on Thursday to pay it. We'll see!
On a much happier note; my car is sparkling and spotless. LOVE IT!
