Oh goodness.....my eyes are bloodshot and I look like I have been up for hours, which is partially true. I only got 3.5 hours sleep between my bartending shift last night and working at the office this morning. Pulled a 16 hour workday yesterday...and will do so again today!
The shift went WAY better than I had expected. I really don't know why I worried so much and why I thought it would be so much worse than it was. I have to say that I am slightly impressed with myself...lol! For each person that I recognized (which was virtually everyone), I seemed to also remember their drinks. It's been 7 months since I have worked there and did that job, to remember someone's drink? Not too shabby! Of course a couple of the usual suspects came but I will give them some credit; well behaved and....I think I got a sort of apology from a couple of them. Not really an apology but rather they expressed their humility. I will take that! My evening started with some good company; one of my bffs. THANK YOU so much for getting me started on a good foot. It was karaoke night...and you know I feel about that!!!! I sang 3 songs and that was difficult to achieve. So so busy; so so hard to get away. When I have almost the whole bar of folk telling me to get up there and sing....can't let my customers down...you know? LOL Sang the usual; Bonnie Raitt's Let's Give Them Something To Talk About, Pink's Like a Pill and finally Fergie's Big Girls Don't Cry. Rocked each one!! Some info clips; I have made it a rule of thumb to NOT drink while working. So, I sang these songs completely sober. Having a crowd that loves you? Nothing like it! I honestly sang those songs...the best that I have ever sung those songs. So great to be back; temporarily!
So today is Friday. Almost forgot that for a moment. For some reason; doesn't feel like Friday! We already know what my day will be like today but tomorrow.....going be a great day! I get to sleep in. Mr. Fabulous is coming over and making me breakfast. YAY!!!!! Then I am getting to see a couple fabulous women in the afternoon before my Dad's 60th bday party. LOVE IT!!!! Finally on Sunday will get to veg out and I will make sure to do it right!!! LOL
