Today.....today was filled with educational content to the max. Just spent 7 hours learning about legal clauses that are put into real estate transaction agreements. There are close to 100 clauses that are somewhere in the neighbourhood of 50 to 100 words long and we need to know them off by heart. This is to fulfill one portion of the agreement.
To all of you out there who say you don't need a realtor to sell your home or find you a home to buy....I say; your loss! We (the Realtors) will have the last laugh when we see you going to court because you didn't know your rights or what your legal obligations are. On the one hand I am offended by the comments;
Realtors are becoming obsolete!
Realtors are a waste of money, I can do this on my own!
And so on......
On the other hand....I know I would never represent myself in court because I don't know the law (criminal law) and I also know that I wouldn't dream of diagnosing myself with a disease because I am not a doctor. These people go to school and spend a pile of money on learning every single thing there is to know about their industry and business. What makes real estate and Realtors any different? I have spent a lot of money on some very in depth knowledge of this business and anyone who tells me that they can do what I will be doing without this knowledge can go right ahead. If you don't want your best interests looked after, if you want to be raped and pillaged (so to speak), if you want to be sued (possibly) then please....do represent yourselves! You are just making us look better!
On a totally unrelated topic;
I was treated to a very wonderful sentiment from Mr. Fabulous. Today he told me why I am the ultimate package! How about that?!!!! LOL
First of all, I am not low on the self esteem pole....but my goodness.....to know that someone thinks of me this way.....really really does blow me out of the water. He gave me 124 reasons why I am the ultimate package. HOLY SHIT BALLS!!! There are actually 124 reasons out there? Can this really be? I laughed and almost cried all at once. Forgive me folks....but I have never had the pleasure of being with a man who defined/demonstrated or professed his affections for me the way Mr. Fabulous has and is. WHAT A TREAT!!!
So....to you Mr. Fabulous.....this is for you!
