Well, I slept my first sleep in my new home yesterday. It was AMAZING!!! There are 2 highlights I want to share with you and those are;
1. TEAM WORK!!! Nothing like it! Since 3pm till about 5:30pm yesterday...it was my mom and Mr. Fabulous helping me out. We loaded the Uhaul and made our first delivery to the new apartment where my stepfather was waiting for us to unload. Mr. Fabulous, my stepfather and myself went to the old place to get the second load and upon returning to the new house...we were greeted by dad/step mom, sister and nephew. It was a family affair...plus Mr. Fabulous. My whole family pitched in. I am touched, overwhelmed with gratefulness and am reminded that I have the best family in the whole world.
2. Next level with Mr. Fabulous. So you see...he met the whole team folks. Ha!!! He did good! He did very good. If this was anyone else...I think they would have gotten overwhelmed...but Mr. Fabulous being truly fabulous...he took it like a champ. Of course, like I previously mentioned, I have the best family in the whole world....and they were incredibly polite and kind and welcoming.
I love my new apartment. Of course not everything can be smooth sailing. My future landlord reneged on his promise to have the house cleaned before my arrival. Which meant that the cleaning had to be done when I arrived. Will deal with him later today. Don't you worry! Wink wink!
My brilliant little nerd Chorizo; I am speechless because of him. This is the 2nd move in his brief 2.5 years of life. Move one....didn't go so well. Move two....aside from needing to check out every little corner before bed....he slept like a champ. We both woke up cheery eyed and we snuggled and played in our new room for a bit before I had a light bulb go off in my head. Being that I am an incredibly efficient person and almost OCD with organization; I was totally flustered when I discovered that I had forgotten 2 small but VERY important things; my toothbrush and toothpaste. F***!!!!!! I quickly pondered my next steps. Did I have time to drop off the little one before heading back to my old place to grab that all before going to work? NO! Did I have enough time to go to Shoppers and buy new shit before dropping off my little guy and then going to work? NO!!! I could only pray...that my angel of a mother would have a spare toothbrush for me. So...Chori and I got ready to go and headed out. We arrive at my mom's...and because she is an angel of life....she had a spare toothbrush for me. YAY!!!!!!!
And now, I have 'The Cable Guy' (LOL) coming over this afternoon to HOOK ME UP!!! LOL
Forgive me...I am beside myself with positive energy and excitement!
Well world....tomorrow is Canada's Day!!! Man....do I LOVE CANADA! I am going to celebrate it with a bottle of champagne.....POOLSIDE!!!
