Feels good!

Happy Monday! How was everyone's weekend? I had an enjoyable weekend. Finally a mellow one!

Friday night I worked. It wasn't horrible. LOL! I have been hearing from a lot of customers that they don't like the new bartender. I usually wouldn't care. In fact, I still don't care. I think the only reason why I am bringing this up is because Friday night was packed with customers that totally disliked her and were over the moon about having me look after them. This does put a smile on my face. But once again, this isn't why I am making a comment about it. I have this regular, an older man who is super super cool. He happens to be super close with the new bartender. Just a small interjection here; this new bartender is actually an old bartender. She was working down the street at the strip club for years (lol). He and I are smoking outside when this patron of mine comes out to have a smoke as well. He starts on a tangent about this new bartender and the whole while I am thinking to myself; EEEEEEKKKK!!!! I kept my mouth shut and simply nodded my head when I felt compelled to contribute. I would catch a glimpse of my cool regular looking at me for acknowledgment. I did my best not to give him anything. I needed to end this so I tossed my smoke and went inside. My regular follows me. He later suggested that he was going to relay those negative comments to the new bartender. I didn't say anything. I can't see her getting fired but then again...I have been surprised before. Huh!

Saturday I woke up in peace. Had an omelet for Sunset Grill for breakfast. MMMMMM!!! I went to see a matinee movie with my sister; Hunger Games. I loved it! I loved the book more. Jennifer Lawrence did an amazing job with the role. I am impressed. This movie was missing a lot of back story which threw me off. You are basically thrown right into the games not knowing very much at all about the characters. Fine! I get that the movie has to be efficient and get all the critical matter in place but I was still left hanging with things that were important to me. Unlike the Twilight Saga, I will only be watching this movie once in theatre. However, I fully intend on buying the trilogy when it comes it out. After the movie I dicked around for a few hours before reconnecting with my sister/bro-in law and nephew. Had dinner with them and then some serious quality time with my nephew. I think I read him 4 stories while trying to put him to bed. Sneaky little nerd has powers...lol! I  almost passed out with him.

Yesterday....was my day of relaxation up until about 4:30pm at which point I had to get ready to have dinner downtown with my sister and a couple of her friends. These ladies weren't just any ladies. These ladies were ones that my sister lived with while studying in Paris 10 years ago. One of the ladies is from Austria and she came with a friend of hers. The other lady is Canadian with a Russian background. All of them are SUPER COOL! The highlight for me however was going to this new restaurant. I LOVE IT!!!! I love it so much in fact that I am thinking of having my birthday dinner there. Yup! I plan ahead. My bday is in 2 months. I am booking it! LOL

So there it is!!! I have run now; gotta go to my chiropractor appointment. YAY!
