I have to say...once in awhile I have rock star moments. Last night was one of them. I was on fire working at the bar. I had multiple people tell me that I was glowing and that I looked extra fabulous...lol! I am so not trying to toot my own horn...but what I am saying is this; I was overflowing with energy last night and people could see that. Why was I full of energy yesterday? I HAVE NO IDEA! Ha! I wish I could be that 'on' everyday.
My usual night manager couldn't come in and so I had my boss with me, as my bar back. I do love my boss. He is truly a kind soul and he is very very sweet with me. I think he really appreciates my hard work and unrelenting patience for the shit that goes on at the bar. Last night was no different. As much as last night was pretty brilliant; maybe one of the best nights I have worked there...it was not shy on drama. Oy oy oy!!!!
I don't want to talk about the drama. I want to talk about my rock star moments....lol. So it was about, I don't know...11pm....the time is irrelevant...and the Karaoke guy asked over the mic if I was able to sing a song. I was not able to sing a song...the bar was packed and I was busy. I had to yell out over the crowd; No can do! Ha...to my surprise...the entire bar yelled....Yes she can! Go Paula Go Paula. LMAO LOVED IT! And so I went to sing a song I had never sang before...ever! Melissa Etheridge's; I am the only one. Since I have never sang the song before, I had the kick ass Karaoke guy help me with the lyrics and I would blast out the chorus on my own. LOVED IT! When the song was over...the entire bar applauded and for one minute...I was on top of the world. It was like my very own personal concert and there isn't a better feeling than that. I get why rock stars love to tour; you get so much love from the crowd and that is such a treat.
I did say this last night; "Even if I was a millionaire, I would keep my Thursdays at KL". LOL
