Good day world! I would love to say to Happy Monday...but I am nursing a blistering headache...since yesterday. I would have stayed home from work except...I spent way more money this weekend than I had initially intended to...and therefore...not working is not an option.
Friday...what can I say about Friday? Nothing! Don't feel like discussing that day!
Saturday.....yay Saturday! LOL
Saturday was the bachelorette party for my bff. Everything had been confirmed the day before...everything was on track....right up until one of the party of 4 decided to bail at the very last minute. Now...my very first thought was one of relief...because we all know how I feel about this person. This thought was immediately followed by a harsh reality check that with this person being a no-show...the expenses for the event would be spread across 2 people rather than 3. OUCH!!!!! PAINFULL!!!! I am not going to say anything more about this at this time.
So...as the angels had intended....there were 3 of us; my bff, the maid of honor and myself. We got picked up in a stretch limo at the MOH's house at 1:30. We spent the next 2 hours socializing, sharing, gossiping and all those things that ladies do while on our way to Niagara-on-the-lake. We finally arrive at this BRILLIANTLY gorgeous hotel right on the water called Harbour House Inn (http://www.niagarasfinest.com/properties/harbourhouse/). It is a boutique style inn that not only is 10/10 in ambiance and chic-ness....I give the service a 10/10. From the minute you walk in the door to the minute you walk out of that door for your departure...it is a slice of heaven. We got a suite to accommodate the 4 of us...forgive me the 3 of us. We were treated like rockstars the whole way through. I made sure to have champagne and non-alcoholic champagne with chocolate covered strawberries in the room upon arrival. Apparently they dip the fresh strawberries into their own chocolate...mmmmm!!!! So...we spent some time with all of this in the incredible room. We were holding out for the hotel to have their wine and cheese offering. We hit that up and sat on their patio and shot the shit while getting some sun. So great! We had dinner reservations at this fab resto on the strip called Bristo Six One. I was expecting to meander our way there...but the hotel being so awesome...they have shuttle service. Rockstars....that we were!
All of us are dressed up, looking hot and sporting our bachelorette paraphernalia. We stood out like sore thumbs to say the least. We enjoyed a scrumptious meal and we almost had to be rolled out of the restaurant. FYI; I was the only one drinking. We all know the the bride is preggos and the MOH was under the weather...so I was pulling the weight for the 3 of us. LMAO Needless to say I was hammered by the time dinner was done and sporting stilettos...was a difficult task to say the least. We walked around a bit trying to burn off some part of the dinner we just ate...then quickly decided to call the shuttle bus to pick us up. We were looking forward to borrowing a couple movies from the hotel's Blockbuster selection and getting all settled into bed to watch them and continue eating chocolate covered strawberries along with the awesome desserts that the MOH brought. Being as hammered as I was....I watched the opening credits and immediately passed out. Like the champ that I am...I woke up right on cue for the ending credits. LMAO And then I passed out again!
We all woke up fresh as can be for 8:30am. We got ready and went for the continental breakfast which was everything you would want it to be. Again...excellent service and excellent food! From there we went back to the room to pack up and rest for a few before hitting up the town for some shopping. We conquered the whole strip in just shy of 3 hours. We did some shopping and stopped for a mid day refreshment. So so great! At this point...we are spent from the walking and the heat. We were very much looking forward to getting back into the limo for our ride home. We got in and the 3 of us spilled out all over the limo. All splayed out....what a scene! LOL
It was a brilliant time and I am so thankful to have these girls in my life. They are such beautiful people and I love that I get to participate in their lives. Thank you both girls!
Till tomorrow folks! xo P
